How Can I Repair The Inside Wall Of My Microwave?

My son left his fork on the plate he was reheating and turned the microwave on. The fork was touching one side of the microwave when it arced and there is now no coating on a 1 in by 1/8 in. place on one of the inside walls. Is the microwave still safe to use? Is there some way I can repair it?

Why mess with it and take a chance of leaking microwaves? These things have become throw away appliances.
You can buy compact models now for under $50.

You REALLY can’t. You run the risk of starting a fire. Go buy a new one- & tell your Son to be more carefull.

metal reflects the micro waves back to the unit that is emitting them–like radar–it probaby did damage that you cannot see or sense–but someday it will just–POOF and then the fireman will tell you–buy a new one. NOT SAFE NOW so buy a new one. NO METAL_-can your son understand that?? mistakes happen–that’s how we learn.

    Hi
I found some articles for you to have a look at. They say you can re-paint your microwave with gloss enamel paint. All you do is sand the damaged area and paint it with gloss enamel.http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/micfaq.htm#…http://www.partselect.com/microwave+rout…
There are special microwave cavity paints you can buy.
The sites below show you what what they look like.http://www.repairclinic.com/0081.asp?Rcc…http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Applia…
Hope this helps you out and saves you the cost of replacing your microwave.
