Rain Ruined The Wall, How Can I Patch It Up?

Well my screen door got broken by bad a** lil neighbor boy. So when it rains sometimes the water leaks in under the front door and runs a little ways down the wall. It has started to crumble and left a hole, I need to fix or find a way to cover it, I’m going to be painting soon.

First make sure your leak is fixed or its all for nothing. Then cut away any wet or ruined wall and patch it with wall board and wall board patch (plaster) you can buy it in pieces and plaster premixed. Sand it and seal it-then primer and paint. All the primers can be sealer too and you can get small cans-check at your local home depot or lowes etc.
Depends on the construction makeup of the wall. Plaster can be scraped and patched. Drywall must be cut out and replaced.
